Best time to visit Humantay Lake
The dry season (April to November) offers the most stable conditions for hiking, clear skies for photography and less risk of trail closures due to rain or landslides. In July and August temperatures are cooler, but also the most spectacular views of the glaciers and the best coloration of the lakes. During the rainy season (December through March), the trail can be slippery and the lake color is dulled by runoff, but crowds are minimal.
